About
Javad “Joe” Navran is a Partner at Employer Advocates Group, where he represents employers in employment litigation and provides proactive advice and counsel on California labor and employment law compliance. He is the lead attorney in the firm’s Orange County office.
Mr. Navran has extensive experience in employment law class action defense and PAGA litigation, in addition to representing employers in individual disputes. His practice spans both high‑stakes litigation and preventative counseling, with a particular focus on wage and hour compliance and minimizing risk before claims arise. He works closely with clients ranging from small, independently owned businesses to large corporations, developing trusted, long‑term relationships grounded in responsiveness, practical guidance, and a deep understanding of each client’s operational realities.
A significant part of Mr. Navran’s practice involves litigating complex employment matters, but his true professional passion lies in preventing disputes before they become lawsuits. He takes a hands‑on approach, diving into the day‑to‑day workings of each business he represents to identify potential compliance issues and provide clear, actionable solutions. Clients know they can reach him directly, and he is committed to being accessible, responsive, and engaged at every stage of representation.
Mr. Navran earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from California State University, Fullerton, and his Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law, where he participated on the school’s moot court competition team. Prior to joining EAG in 2020, he practiced business litigation with Walton & Walton in Marina del Rey, and he took part in one of California’s first virtual jury trials during the COVID‑19 pandemic.
Raised in Southern California, Mr. Navran’s early experience working in his family’s growing restaurant management company—eventually becoming one of California’s largest Denny’s franchise operations—instilled in him a strong appreciation for small business owners and entrepreneurs. That background continues to inform his practice and his commitment to being a practical, solutions‑oriented advisor.
In his spare time, Joe enjoys golfing and supporting his three sons in their competitive year-long travel baseball journeys. He is fluent in English and Farsi.
